Daphne Nguyen is a high school intern passionate about green chemistry and environmental toxicology, with a focus on improving safety in the cosmetics industry. As the founder of the Clean Beauty Action Network, she advocates for safer consumer products through public outreach, FDA engagement, and collaboration with United Nations stakeholders. Her research experience includes investigating persistent organic pollutants, developing sustainable nanoemulsion-based skincare, and exploring green chemistry innovations at institutions like University of Pennsylvania, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and University of Massachusetts Amherst. Daphne has authored two research papers and has a pending patent on a novel green nanocream formulation.
Through her internship with Greener Partnerships, Daphne uses her outreach and communication skills to raise awareness about environmental health challenges and green chemistry solutions. She is excited to continue leveraging her passion for advocacy and education to inspire sustainable change and promote a healthier future.
