Research

Research is one of the three main components of our mission at BCGC. It is conducted primarily by our SAGE IGERT graduate fellows under individual faculty mentorship at labs throughout the UC Berkeley campus and at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Under the stipulations of our NSF funding, this research pursues an integrated and multi-disciplinary approach to innovation in the field of sustainable energy. Topics range from building a better battery to investigating bauxite mining in Vietnam, to developing better ways to measure indoor air pollution. Green Chemistry is an integral part of all this work.
